1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using OnTrack Money ("the Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and OnTrack Group, LLC("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of the Service.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Service Description
OnTrack Money is a personal budgeting and financial tracking application. The Service enables you to:
- Create and manage budgets with custom categories and line items
- Record, categorize, and track financial transactions
- Connect external bank accounts to import transaction data via Plaid
- Manage multiple financial accounts (checking, savings, credit cards)
- Share account access with other authorized users through a multi-tenancy model
- Customize preferences including display, notification, and budget settings
The Service is provided as a tool for personal financial organization. It is not a financial institution, bank, credit counselor, or financial advisor.
4. Account Registration & Security
To use the Service, you must register for an account using a valid email address. Authentication is handled through a six-digit one-time passcode sent to your email. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and onboarding
- Maintain the security of your email account, as it serves as your primary authentication method
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or disable accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised or are being used in violation of these Terms.
5. Bank Account Connections & Plaid
The Service uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to facilitate connections between your financial institution accounts and the Service. By connecting a bank account through the Service, you:
- Acknowledge and agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy
- Authorize Plaid to access your financial account information on your behalf, including account balances, and transaction history
- Understand that Plaid uses secure, token-based authentication and that your banking login credentials are never stored by or transmitted to OnTrack Money
- Accept that the availability and accuracy of data retrieved from your financial institution is dependent on the institution's systems and Plaid's connectivity
You may disconnect any linked bank account at any time through the Service. Disconnecting an account stops future syncing for that bank feed, and the Service may offer you the choice to keep or remove transactions previously imported from that connection.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on providers that process information under their own terms and privacy commitments:
- Supabase— authentication, database hosting, file storage, and backend infrastructure
- Plaid— bank account connectivity and financial data aggregation
- Vercel— application hosting and delivery, including Analytics and Speed Insights usage and performance measurement
- Upstash— optional website rate limiting and abuse prevention using route-and-IP-derived keys
- Sentry— application error monitoring and diagnostics
- Resend— transactional email delivery (invitations, notifications)
- OpenAI— category recommendations and optional OnBot and voice transcription features
- RevenueCat— mobile subscription entitlements and purchase lifecycle management
- Apple and Google— app distribution, in-app purchase processing, and subscription management
- Make.com and Airtable— routing and management of support requests, feedback, and account-deletion feedback
Provider availability, processing locations, and retention are governed in part by those providers. We do not promise a particular provider data region or exact provider retention period.
7. Data, Privacy, Analytics & AI
Information We Process: We process account and profile details, financial information you enter or import, shared-account activity, preferences, Terms acceptance records, billing and entitlement details, support or feedback messages, and technical diagnostics needed to provide and protect the Service.
AI Features: Category recommendations may send OpenAI merchant names, transaction amounts, candidate budget line-item and category names, and recent merchant patterns. If optional OnBot is available and you use it, OpenAI may receive your latest question and relevant first name, subscription tier, budget, transaction, and note information. If you activate optional voice input, your audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription. This information is not necessarily anonymous.
Analytics and Diagnostics: Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights may process usage and performance signals, and Sentry may process diagnostics and error context. These systems are configured to limit unnecessary personal information, but telemetry should not be assumed to be anonymous in every instance.
Security: We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport, access controls, row-level database authorization, and restricted server-side credentials. No service can guarantee absolute security.
No Sale of Data: We do not sell or rent your personal or financial information. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
8. User Responsibilities
As a user of the Service, you agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Ensure that all information you provide is accurate and kept up to date
- Maintain the security of your email account, which serves as your authentication credential
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems
- Not use the Service to store or transmit malicious code, infringing content, or illegal material
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Not use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written consent
- Verify the accuracy of imported financial data against your financial institution records
9. Account Sharing & Multi-Tenancy
The Service allows account owners to invite other users to access shared accounts. When you use this feature:
- As an account owner: You are responsible for managing membership, including inviting and removing members. You assume responsibility for the access you grant and should only invite individuals you trust. Shared members may view and manage transactions, budgets, and financial accounts within the shared account.
- As a shared member: You agree to use shared access responsibly and in accordance with these Terms. Your access may be revoked by the account owner at any time.
OnTrack Money is not liable for any actions taken by shared members, including unauthorized modifications to budgets, transactions, or account settings within a shared account.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, features, functionality, design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks associated with the Service are the exclusive property of OnTrack Group, LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of any data you enter into the Service.
11. Service Availability & Modifications
We strive to maintain the availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, system updates, infrastructure outages, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes that affect your use of the Service.
12. Disclaimers
No Financial Advice: The Service is a budgeting and tracking tool only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. You should consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions. OnTrack Group, LLC is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, financial planner, or financial institution.
As-Is Basis:THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Data Accuracy: We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any data imported from third-party sources, including data retrieved through Plaid. You are responsible for verifying financial information against your official financial institution records.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ONTRACK GROUP, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OnTrack Group, LLCand its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
15. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You may initiate account deletion through the Settings page. The deletion workflow removes your user access and app-controlled profile information and removes or de-identifies related records where supported. Shared-account data can remain available to other accepted members.
Deletion may take up to thirty (30) days to propagate through active OnTrack systems. Copies may remain longer in backups, security and fraud records, legally required records, support systems, and third-party systems under their own retention and deletion practices. Support, feedback, and account-deletion feedback may therefore outlast the active account.
Disconnect linked institutions before deletion if you want OnTrack to request provider-side Plaid disconnection. Deleting your OnTrack account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google; manage or cancel it through the store account where you purchased it.
16. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to: violation of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, extended inactivity, or conduct that we determine to be harmful to other users or the integrity of the Service.
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in the Settings page. Upon termination by either party, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Sections 10, 12, 13, 14, and 17) will continue to apply.
17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days of written notice, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the State of Georgia or remotely at your election.
YOU AND ONTRACK GROUP, LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date displayed with these Terms and, where feasible, provide notice through the Service. If a revision materially affects your rights or obligations, you will be asked to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service. Your continued use after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Severability & Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and OnTrack Group, LLC regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings, whether written or oral.
